Reflections on CBFO 2009
Reflections on CBFO 2009

I have been commissioner of CBFO since 2000 and every year I see a new beginning for this great program. 372 girls played this year with fun and enthusiasm as well as parents and other patrons. I go to the ballpark every night and I am amazed at the talent that we have and the love for the game, but what I see most is the sportsmanship among all of our girls and parents. We are truly a CBFO family and we treasure the wins, but we also know how to lose and remain good sports. This was evident this year as in past years and we all know that we have something special at CBFO.

We saw many field improvements this year including new fences, new turf on field 2, and most important new rest rooms on both fields. We have plans for the future as we are going to change the turf on field 1 this year and we expect to install a sprinkler system on field 3 as well so our fall league will benefit.

We have a great program at CBFO, thanks to all of the volunteers, coaches, players, and parents and we will continue to strive to make our program even better. Together  we must all follow our mission statement, “To make CBFO Softball the very best that it can be”. These young girls deserve this as their youth is short and we must do the best that we can to shape their lives while we have the chance.

Have a great summer!
